Position Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Hours: 3:00pm-2:00am

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee fast-paced production and packaging lines in a high-volume manufacturing environment.. As a leader, you will be responsible for managing over 50 production staff across 30 lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You must be comfortable with a hands-on, in-the-weeds role, leading by example, and mentoring staff at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of 50+ production staff working across 30 fast-moving production lines.
- Actively participate in day-to-day production activities—this is a hands-on role that requires working alongside your team.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of production operations to ensure efficient workflow and on-time completion.
- Ensure that production targets and KPIs are met, including efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
- Work closely with team members to troubleshoot issues on the production lines and resolve them quickly to minimize downtime.
- Mentor and develop staff, from entry-level operators to experienced veterans, fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment.
- Promote and enforce safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Work cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth production processes.
- Handle shift scheduling and be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, during peak production periods.
- Continuously improve production processes and workflows by identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience as a Production Lead or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment (Food, Packaging, or Medical Device industry preferred).
- Proven ability to manage and supervise teams of 50+ employees, especially in fast-paced packaging or production lines.
- Leadership Skills:
- Hands-on leadership style with a passion for coaching and mentoring a diverse team of production staff.
- Ability to lead by example, getting involved in the day-to-day operations and working alongside the team.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of production line workflows, processes, and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Proficiency in using production management software and basic reporting tools.
- Other Requirements:
- Availability to work required shifts, including nights and weekends during busy seasons.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the food, packaging, or medical device manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles for process improvement.
