Job Description:

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor. This role is based out of our North Charleston, SC facility. This role is a Monday-Friday, Daylight (7A-3P) opportunity.

Eaton's Charleston, SC location has long served as a Machining Center of Excellence for our Aerospace Group, in 2024 we are excited to bring hydraulic pump assembly and test operations in house. This position will support the transition of these operations from our Jackson, MS plant and the ongoing assembly and test operations in Charleston, SC.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you'll do:

The Production Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to a team of machinists and coordinate production activities and resources per established practices and/or policies within the job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations. In this function you will:

* Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and policy enforcement

* Ensure department work areas are kept clean, organized and orderly per 5S standards

* Manage operational process to track and understand key operational metrics and develop action plans to improve operational performance

* Increase employee engagement and accountability to create a high performing culture

* Provide input into the daily manning strategy and manage time and attendance (attendance, overtime, vacation, etc.) to ensure manning needs can be met.

* Drive continuous improvement programs and process improvements by applying the Eaton Business System and problem-solving tools

* Lead tier 1 meetings and participate in tier 2 meetings and daily accountability tracking

* Ensure employees have a solid understanding of individual goals/metrics and provide coaching as needed

* Provide back up support for Value Stream Manager when they are unavailable

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or operations environment OR 8+ years experience in a manufacturing or operations environment

* Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

* This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

* No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility listed will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2+ years of supervisory/people management experience

* B.S. Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering

* Previous experience in a fabrication or machining environment

* Previous manufacturing engineering experience is preferred

* Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools

* Experience with quality control techniques and quality systems (e.g. QS 9000, ISO 14001, ISO-9001, AS9100)
