Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across departments, including procurement, distribution, and management, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Achieve production goals and implement cost control measures.
  • Review staff performance and provide necessary coaching and interventions for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate production reports and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and that production scrap is weighed and reported.
  • Read and follow production orders and specifications.
  • Set and monitor daily production goals, ensuring all targets are met.
  • Supervise training for new hires and manage shift scheduling, including overtime.
  • Approve time cards and provide team leader breaks as necessary.
  • Perform inventory checks and ensure appropriate raw material and packaging supplies.
  • Report on machine performance and shift progress.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma required.
  • 5+ years of experience in plastics production manufacturing, particularly in blown film production, with a minimum of three years' experience in a leadership role within manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of extrusion equipment and manufacturing processes. Strong familiarity with safety regulations and quality control in a production environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
