Job Description:
Primary Duties:
- Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
- Ensure product quality meets internal and external specifications.
- Maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control plan
- Conduct process and product audits according to the work instructions
- Lead change-over following proper set-up procedure according to work instructions
- Turn around any set asides and hold activity in a timely manner
- Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to the line leader
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing problems in the operations.
- Provide support to the process improver and line leader in pursuit of continuous improvement.
- Fulfill assignments/tasks given by line leader.
- Actively participate in area problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve production goals.
- Check inventories and schedule. Plans and communicates production needs to the team leaders to ensure all production requirements are met and insure a good pass down before each shift.
- Troubleshooting / problem solving manufacturing problems in the CBG / Furnace operations.
- Provide training and guidance/direction to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.
- Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
- Audit employee time records using Kronos and correct as needed.
- Administer progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules and labor agreement.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safety and goal oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Demonstrated personal computer skills
Qualifications Desired:
- 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing.
- Automotive glass experience
