Job Description:

If you have a keen eye for the big picture, excellent production skills, and enjoy working collaboratively, we may have the perfect role for you! As a Production Supervisor, you will be using your skills and expertise to oversee employees who put together component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, packaging, or completed units. You'll be responsible for reviewing our production schedules, material, and manpower resources, assigning employees to maximize our production objectives, informing employees of production and material problems, and resolving problems affecting schedules while maintaining the quality of our products. You'll participate in establishing and modifying our operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain a safe work environment

* Promote teamwork and respect among team members

* Ensure that Backshop meets quality requirements

* Plan and monitor workflow to achieve on time delivery objectives

* Develop team's skills and provide cross-training to ensure depth of skills and redundancy in Backshop

* Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to ensure that program schedules are achieved

* Clearly communicate and enforce performance expectations to all team members

* Ensure that Backshop provides solid performance when supporting other SNC sites

* Instill commitment to excellence through attention to detail and continuous improvement

Must-haves:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

* Typically, 4+ years of progressive product technician experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience.

* Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications

* Experience with corrective action planning

* Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence

* Experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment

* Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of manufacturing principles

Preferred:

* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
