We are currently seeking a skilled Facility Porter to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility in Frederick Country, Virginia!
About the Role
Hours: Monday - Friday 6 am - 4 pm plus possible weekends
Pay: $60k annually
As a Production Supervisor at our yogurt processing facility, you will support the day-to-day operations of the production facility. This role involves supervising production staff, ensuring efficient and effective production processes, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within the production department.
Responsibilities
Supervise Production Teams: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production workers, ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Monitor Production Processes: Oversee daily production activities, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet production targets and deadlines.
Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any deviations or defects promptly.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, conducting regular safety training and audits.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies, to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Reporting: Prepare and analyze production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply and prevent production delays.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics, to coordinate production activities and resolve any cross-functional issues.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing production experience and 3 years of supervision experience.
Experience within dairy manufacturing preferred
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficient in computer applications, including production management software (e.g., ERP systems) and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office).
Training in Farmingdale, NY may be required for up to 4 - 6 weeks
