Production SupervisorPay: 80,000+ salaried (based on interview and experience)Shift: multiple shifts availableJob DescriptionManage, direct, and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining safety and quality. Coach the production team to be accountable for safety, production, quality, equipment, and housekeeping of the department. Coordinate with the Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved. In locations where applicable, comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging, and report food safety problems to those with authority to act.Responsibilities
  • Manage, direct, and coordinate all activities related to a production shift.
  • Maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Coach the production team to be accountable for safety, production, quality, equipment, and housekeeping.
  • Coordinate with the Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, address complaints, and resolve problems.
  • Ensure all production data is correctly gathered and reported daily.
  • Support and improve quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
  • Manage department safety to ensure plant goals are met.
  • Comply with SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging.
Essential Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related professional and progressive Manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and internal customers.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse staff.
  • SAP and/or Oracle experience.
  • Experience in plastics extrusion and plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
