Human by nature.Reporting to the Production Process Manager within our Manufacturing Team located in Hanover you will oversee the activities and areas directly associated with liquids production including compounding, replenishment, automated systems, bulk storage and dispensing areas to ensure safe, quality production. You will organize staff and material flow to optimize plant performance. Coaches staff to achieve department and organization goals. You will summarize shift activities and leave clear information on any issues that need to be ad-dressed by supervisors and group leaders on other shifts. This will be a first shift position.Your core responsibilities will be:
  • Supervise Group Leaders and hourly staff and their daily activities to ensure the production of liquid com-pounds. Organize staff and material flow to optimize performance. Assist Schedulers with prioritizing shop orders based on production capacity and customer demands.
  • Oversee replenishment activity and material movement into and out of production. Direct dispensing and processing functions. Monitor batch yields and initiates adjustments. Identify cause for production delays and takes corrective action.
  • Work with QC to resolve manufacturing or material problems. Adjust finished compounds to comply with Quality Control specifications. Investigate any production non-conformances and customer com-plaints. Initiate corrective action. Assists in the development and implementation of multiple cost reduction techniques to maximize product profitability. Investigate new equipment and methods to upgrade manufacturing and efficiency and make recommendations to management.
  • Maintain accurate Production and Inventory records. Ensure that all production and inventory transactions are reported. Train staff to identify and correct problems. Coordinate with Ware-house in obtaining on-time delivery of materials necessary for production.
  • Ensure compliance with operational safety, environmental protection, industrial hygiene, and GMP standards. Coordinate removal of waste. Train staff in safety and standard operating procedures (e.g. sampling, mixing, packing, flashpoint, flammables).
  • Develop staff; implement cross training for staff to ensure techniques and greater productivity. Monitors and enforces work rules, attendance, timecards and all procedures. Monitor performance and institutes corrective action.

  • 5+ years of experience in production with exposure to quality and materials process management.
  • Prior Management experience
  • College degree
  • SAP background.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Production software experience
