To coordinate and manage the effective and efficient utilization of all reactor lines and individual reactors in order to meet agreed upon production, quality and inventory requirements in a safe manner
Essential Functions
* Reports To: (position) Production Superintendent
* Ensure adherence to daily and monthly production schedule(s).
* Ensure product is ready and available daily for shipments.
* Communication/coordination of maintenance needs/activities (daily meeting with maintenance planner for scheduling PM's, planned maintenance, etc.). Coordinate maintenance activities for breakdown needs - including support for OT, weekend and off-shifts. Oversee equipment preparation for maintenance, writing work permits, etc.
* Monitor delays and communicate to Production Superintendent / Production Engineer. Input delays/issues into PM Ops (HSE events, production losses, near misses, etc.) that occur on each shift.
* Coordination of operator work schedules and vacations.
* Assist in tracking and disposing of off-spec. and non-conforming inventory.
* Assist in PSM compliance including operator certifications, annual SOP/WI reviews, and MOC follow-up.
* Act as a resource for process improvement, troubleshooting, cost control, and production optimization.
* Hold operators accountable for their performance.
* Ensure that all production documentation complies with the established ISO standards.
* Assist in executing the start-up of manufacture of new products.
* Participate in HSE process:a) Perform weekly unit HSE audits (safety, housekeeping, and environmental)b) Actively participate in daily HSE meetings.c) Participate in incident investigations and report findingsd) Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly inspections/reports/etc.)e) Follow all rules and regulations; be a good example to the hourly workforcef) Monitor the completion of all mandatory safety training
* Consistently demonstrate full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc., and all HSE rules, policies, practices and procedures all of the time.
* Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, tracking and approving operators work schedules, OT, sick time, hours worked and vacation.
* Expected to learn areas of responsibility and maintain a certification in the plant.
* Will be required to work in various areas of the site.
Education Qualifications
* Required High School or Equivalent with at least 5 years industrial related experience required; Chemical Manufacturing; industrial safety experience preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience and post-high school education.
Skills and Abilities
* Experience in the POP and/or Microelectronics production units a plus.
* Good reading/writing, math and communication skills are needed.
* Computer skills, such as MS Office and SAP, are required.
* OSHA PSM regulation knowledge preferred.
* Primarily day shift position; may be required to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
