Position Overview:The Supervisor, Production is responsible for the administration of production scheduling activities to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. Ensures the safe, accurate and timely production of products. Coordinates with production schedules and Cure/Vault regarding product inventory and availability. The Supervisor will work with facility management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in a manufacturing environment.
Major Areas of Responsibility include: Reinforces established policies & procedures for the daily operations and compliance with state medical marijuana regulations Plans and schedules workflow for each operational unit accordingly to manufacturing sequences and lead times Oversees production procedures, ensuring standardized requirements and accuracy Provides leadership to staff, ensuring counts are accurate and staff are performing in the most efficient manner possible; responsible for accurately weighing and recording all product weights Tracks progress of production and reviews factors which affect production schedules; analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, equipment, human capital requirements for maximum efficiency; utilize KPIs to work towards increasing speed and efficiency while working safely and following all guidelines Works with Quality Manager to provide guidance in working in a highly regulated cGMP certified manufacturing environment Makes sure that all products are packaged, counted, sorted, and labeled accurately Work with the Facility Coordinator to ensure the storage of all pertinent production materials is organized and categorized to avoid any labeling and packaging errors Manages day to day issues as they arise, requesting assistance as needed Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities): All applicants must be at least 21 years of age BA/BS in business, industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, other relevant specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience Three to five years of experience in related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis Has a thorough understanding of cGMP regulations plus safety/security procedures and the ability to execute and maintain compliance protocols Experience managing a controlled workflow in a fast-paced environment Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and multitasking skills Ability to interact professionally, leading by example Passionate about the importance of medical marijuana

Additional Abilities Required: The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
