About the Role:

* Oversee initial construction work and ensure the site is properly prepared for production activities.

* Supervise and lead the current crew in all aspects of plant setup and daily operations.

* Coordinate the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring it aligns with production needs and operational efficiency.

* Plan and schedule daily work activities, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to timelines.

* Hire, train, and mentor crew members to improve skills and productivity, ensuring a cohesive and efficient team.

* Monitor production processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.

* Collaborate with the Plant Manager and other departments to ensure a smooth transition into production.

* Troubleshoot equipment and production issues, identifying and implementing solutions.

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

* Assist with inventory management of materials, tools, and equipment needed for plant startup and operations.

* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Undergraduate degree preferred.

* 3-5 years' supervisory experience including team building, facilitation, mentoring and follow-through.

* Knowledge of production management in the concrete industry or equivalent.

* Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure and shipping and fulfillment.

* Demonstrated ability to provide direction, develop and lead a team, provide strategic direction, and inspire the team to achieve key goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ability to apply problem solving techniques.

* Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to present oneself and communicate in a professional, positive, and courteous manner at all times with all levels of team members.

* Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.

* General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.

* Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals.

* Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems

* Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.

* Must have a valid drivers' license and ability to travel 5-10 percent of the time to locations and/or meetings.
