Position Overview: The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating shift operations to meet production, safety, sustainability, and quality standards. You will provide leadership to production teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and continuous improvement of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and actively participate in safety audits and observations. Continuously assess and improve safety standards across the production floor.
- Technical Support: Act as the primary technical resource for all areas within your assigned shift, providing support and resolving any issues that arise during operations.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate in meetings to address operational issues, such as quality, safety, staffing, performance, and production schedules.
- Conflict Resolution: Manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and determine when escalation to upper management is necessary.
- Team Development: Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback, helping to identify areas for growth and improvement. Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Manager to align departmental objectives with overall plant goals. Provide input on initiatives to streamline production and resolve bottlenecks.
- Process Monitoring: Communicate and track Plan vs. Actual performance daily during team meetings, ensuring that production goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Must have 5+ years of experience in lithographic printing.
- Minimum of a two-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in Management, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years of progressive experience in production or manufacturing, with prior supervisory experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
