The Production Supervisor of Vacuum Melt & Hot Press, supervises and coordinates production and related services through Team Leaders and non-exempt manufacturing personnel to achieve timely production of quality product at the most economical costs and in expected quantities. Maintains and develops both a safe environment and a workforce capable of meeting manufacturing requirements in the present and future to attain objectives in accordance with production and delivery schedule.

You will have the opportunity to:

* Oversees production operations in accordance with corporate goals for safety, quality, and productivity guidelines.

* Identifies factors that are limiting operations from achieving set goals, develops solutions to these problems in conjunction with members of other support groups.

* Collaborate with other functions (for example; engineering & planning) to resolve issues and set priorities.

* Ensures that quality standards in material and fabrication are followed and maintained.

* Fosters a 5S environment.

* Supports area production Team Leads. Plans considering backlog and forecast.

* Utilizes skills and experience of personnel to obtain the most favorable manufacturing costs and quality.

* Maintains awareness of policies, regulations, procedures, standards and ensures compliance.

* Tracks production efforts by measuring throughput, investigates labor, cost, and process variances. Compiles and summarizes production and downtime data.

* Schedules overtime, vacation, and personal time of team members in accordance with individual requests, policy and production schedule.

* Keeps engineering, production control and quality informed of product difficulties or quality problems.

* Coordinates training of new and existing production employees to the required safety and quality standards. Work instructions and operating procedures.

* Monitors and measures in conjunction with the Team Leads the performance of team members. Provides feedback to the team members through performance appraisals.

* Motivates team members and portrays a positive attitude to acquire maximum efficiency, productivity, cooperation, and morality.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing discipline preferred

* Proven experience in a leadership role

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Pay Range:

$82,900.00 - $124,300.00

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion's determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion's business requirements.
