WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Oversee, monitor, and coordinate production team activities, giving importance to overall achievement of established goals. Ensures team's goals are aligned with and representative of the overall company's goals. Take accountability for achieving target performance as indicated by business goals. Facilitate real-time management of the process for established manufacturing lines ensuring optimal use of equipment, personnel, and materials.
ACCOUNTABILITIES IN THE ROLE:
* Assists in long term scheduling and participates in daily schedule change decisions.
* Manage all labor resources including support personnel to optimize equipment and production efficiency.
* Provide guidance, counsel, and direction to direct reports, documentation done accurately and on time.
* Lead the team in trouble shooting activities, engaging proper support staff when necessary to help resolve issues. Communicate to the Production Manager as appropriate if issues are unresolved communicate problems to oncoming Production Team Leader and proper support staff.
* Ensure adherence to Job Book and Customer requirements by all Ironwood Plastics team members.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six years leadership or plastics related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
* Able to use Microsoft products (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel). Able to effectively use company ERP system (IQMS) in areas that pertain to your responsibilities.
REPORTS TO: Production Manager - Two Rivers Division
CORE HOURS: Hours to be determined.
DIRECT REPORTS: All entry level shift team members report to the Production Team Leader.
TRAVEL: Seldom, may require travel to our Ironwood Michigan plant.
