Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking a full-time Production Technician to join our team in Fort Collins. This role will provide direct support to our Fabrication Shop.

The Production Technician will be responsible for the quality and timely completion of prefabricated electrical/metal assemblies, skid packages, modular assemblies, control panels, motor control panels, or other similar assemblies.

Compensation:

  • $18.50-$21.00/hourly (wages negotiable depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

An ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-minded, and a team player. Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals, with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our team and external customers.

  • Reads blueprints.
  • Coordinate with Production Leads and Design Services to maintain Per Construction Record Drawings through fabrication process.
  • Wire lights, devices, switches, panels, and transformers according to prints.
  • Assemble prefabricated electrical construction materials.
  • Bend and thread conduit.
  • Construct panel from lay out to completion.
  • Lay out and assemble back plates.
  • Wire devices according to prints.
  • Coordinate panel lay outs with Lead Panel Shop Technician.
  • Participate in panel testing activities as required.
  • Maintain neat and orderly workplace.
  • Inform Production Leads of progress and completion of projects.
  • Supports leadership team by assisting in other areas as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to define and solve problems.

  • Be results driven and safety minded.
  • Basic algebra and geometry skills.
  • Ability to routinely lift 50-75lbs.

Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is helpful but not required; or equivalent experience and/or training.

Travel: Travel will be limited and expect less than 5%.

Due to the nature of our work and our client base, the role may involve tasks in an environment exposed to dust. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and complying with safety standards to protect their well-being.
