We're Furnishing Knowledge.As a Production Technician in the Wall Department employees are responsible for several assembly areas including glazing, plastics & aluminum cutting, base covers, edging, filler panel and assembly of shell product for customer orders. These activities must be performed efficiently, safely and with quality in mind. This position requires the use of hand tools, assembly equipment, and the ability to follow production schedules. RESPONSIBILITIES: Production:
- Glazing- accurately cutting, bundling & labeling of parts
- Plastics & Aluminum Cutting- accurately cutting, documenting, & inspecting of parts
- Genius Corners- properly grove & bend sliding door covers & genius corner base covers
- Edging- properly operating mini-melt glue unit & spray gun as well as pulling trim corners for fabric tack-able shells
- Filler Panel- Correctly assemble shells into frame, use of nip roller
- Assembly of Mushrooms & Stiffeners- assemble stiffeners & mushrooms to shells, operate nip roller & staple tack-able shells
Continuous Improvement:
- Document downtime reasons & review regularly with Process Manager
- Provide suggestions for improvement and foster an environment that encourages suggestions from team members
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES:
- High school or equivalent
- No previous experience is required, but prior manufacturing experience is helpful
- Soft Skills: Positive attitude, willingness to learn, regular attendance, frequent interaction with others
- Ability to lift parts that are 40+ pounds (with assistance)
