Job Overview:
The Global Hydrogen division of Linde. is currently seeking a Production Technician for our HyCO Production Facility in Hemlock, MI. The facility produces hydrogen via Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) technology. This position requires a combination of office work and field work as well as working outdoors in various weather conditions and working weekends if needed, along with call-ins, will involve some overnight travel for training and working at other locations if required.Under the routine direction of supervision, you will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in a production environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Qualify on all plant operations
* Startup and shutdown of process equipment
* Correctly and safely permitting maintenance work
* Use established procedures and assist in modifying procedures as required
* Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, P&ID's, and One Line Diagrams
* Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Projects)
* Monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operating parameters
* Correctly performing valve line-ups, preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-out
* Monitor and maintain proper water chemistry on site
* Normal job hours are Monday through Friday
* Job requires on-call periods, scheduled/unscheduled overtime and working alone.
* Effectively communicating with our customers and suppliers when required
* Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities
* Calibration checks of plant equipment and instrumentation
* Troubleshooting equipment and process abnormalities
* Assist facility in supporting process training efforts, PSM and environmental compliance documentation as well as maintenance activities associated with plant operations.
Qualifications:
* HS Diploma; Associates degree preferred
* 2 years Production/Operations experience or equivalent industrial experience preferred
* Working extended hours and/or weekends, holidays and call-ins may be required
