Job OverviewThe Production Technician is responsible for the filtration and final packaging of BBP's final product. They must have the ability to work independently and interdepartmentally in a fast-paced laboratory environment while maintaining high standards for the final product. This position is also responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the production area, which includes the Biosafety Cabinet, filtration rooms, and packaging areas.Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all procedures and products.
- Maintain a log of equipment calibration, compliance, and usage
- Verify labels for any errors.
- Perform the filtration and dispense procedure
- Examine products pre- and post-filtration thoroughly for any non-conformance
- Documentation of performed processes on batch records using GDP's
- Attach final product label information
- Maintain Final Packaging inventory
- Perform Pre and Post cleaning and sanitization of Biological Safety Cabinet
- Clean and sanitize applicable equipment
- Assists in additional duties delegated by Production Manager
Qualifications and Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 0-1 year of relevant experience
- Fundamental knowledge of solutions and reagents, including properties, functional, application, and precaution
- Fundamental knowledge of chemistry concepts such as molarity, concentration, and mass.
- Fundamental knowledge with dimensional analysis for basic dilutions and conversions.
- Fundamental knowledge of ISO standards and other applicable regulations
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and change priorities while maintaining productivity.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift at least 25 pounds.
