Summary: Our manufacturing operation located in Elgin Illinois develops seals and precision elastomeric devices for the aerospace industry. SKF is seeking a Production Technician with a strong desire to be a part of a high growth company with a results-oriented culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, a self-starter yet able to take orders as directed. New hire would start on first shift (6am - 2pm), for purposes of training. After training period is completed, you will be expected to work your assigned shift. This position is compliant to US government ITAR requirements. Responsibilities:
  • Operation of process equipment and others as assigned in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist others to provide and organized and clean workplace including: all areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms.
  • Obtain operation checklist to determine work process.
  • Manually Remove parts from wheeled cart.
  • Follow specifications when performing work on the parts.
  • Perform equipment operations such as molding rubber components, spraying adhesives, and grit blasting metals.
  • Weigh parts to ensure items are within weight specifications.
  • Demonstrate self-starting ability.
  • Document required data into the computer.
  • Follow verbal orders as directed.
  • Other duties assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years' experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience and/or background in equipment operations such as molding rubber components, spraying adhesives and grit blasting metals.
  • Computer Familiarity.
  • Good English reading and comprehension skills.
  • Must be available to work split shift.
  • Candidate must have a strong desire to be a part of a high growth company with a results-oriented culture.
  • Ability to move and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to self-start yet take orders as directed.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as a team.
  • New hire would start on first shift (6am - 2pm) for purposes of training.
