Production Technician
Role Overview
IMIO is looking for a Production Technician to increase the output of our novel microbial inoculants. As Production Technician, you'll work closely with the Production Team to culture and process microbes from 5mL vials to 50L fermentation vessels, while maintaining rigorous quality standards and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. You will implement LEAN manufacturing principles and contribute to the continuous improvement of our production processes and logistics as part of our mission driven team.
On an average day, you'll...
-Propagate, culture, and harvest microbes according to the production system
-Prepare and ship products to customers
-Document each production run, according to the specified protocols and Quality Assurance requirements, and help iterate on said production documentation.
-Wash and sterilize glassware and microbial media to prep for production runs
-Collaborate and communicate with the scientific and business team to ensure production runs are being completed on schedule
Requirements:
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs and complete other physical tasks
-Interest in microbial culturing and fermentation
-Experience with sterile technique, 5S and Lean Manufacturing, microbes, and/or brewing is a bonus
-Currently living in or willing to relocate to the Burlington, VT area
-Flexibility to initiate or finalize production runs on some weekend days
