PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a Natural Gas Power Plant. This includes water treatment systems, circulating water systems, condensate/feedwater systems, heat recovery steam generator systems, turbine systems, gas turbine systems, generator systems, control systems, electrical systems, and various other plant systems. Inspects, repairs, and maintains various types of plant mechanical, hydraulic and steam related equipment. This includes pumps, boilers, turbines, valves, compressors, couplings, safety valves, fans, heat exchangers, and various other devices. Is required to show initiative in his/her area of responsibility. Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:Estimates starting time for idle generation units and follows prescribed startup procedures to bring units on line at a specified time.
