Position Summary

Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Alpo, Beneful, Purina ONE, Cat Chow, Friskies, and Kit N Kaboodle brands.

Are you a leader with a passion for excellence and a knack for managing complex operations? We are seeking a Production Unloading Supervisor to join our team in Davenport. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and innovative environment where no two days are alike.

As the Production Unloading Supervisor, you will oversee the unloading processes and ingredient batching, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met. You will manage a team of operators, guiding them through day-to-day operations and fostering a positive work environment. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining cleanliness, conducting safety walks, and ensuring adherence to schedules and procedures.

* Conduct area walks for cleanliness and health checks with employees.

* Coordinate cross-functionally with all Team Leaders and managers in meeting total plant goals.

* Ensure operators are performing their tasks effectively.

* Support the team in receiving and unloading raw materials.

* Coordinate repairs and modifications with engineering and maintenance.

* Develop training programs for unloading personnel.

* Manage transportation and ingredient handling.

* Communicate daily unloading schedules to shift employees.

* Must be willing to work a back shift and weekends.

Requirements

* High School diploma or GED equivalent

* 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience

* 2+ years of production experience in a manufacturing, technical, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $63,000 to $92,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
