Job Description:

Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a Production/Warehouse Worker to join their team. As a Production/Warehouse Worker, you will be part of the production process, blending/mixing raw materials, filling or offloading drums, totes or other containers from tank farm, tank trucks, rail cars or other sources. You will also assist in warehousing operations as required.

**Pay Range:** $20/hour **What's the Job?**

+ Completes shipping, receiving and manufacturing documents as required.

+ Reviews bill of lading for DOT compliance regarding hazardous materials and records as required.

+ Maintains records as may be necessary, computer or manually, to track product or container use or disposal.

+ Receives inbound bulk loads by truck or rail car and inbound LTL loads; verifies receiving documents.

+ Ensures chemicals are received into appropriate holding areas or warehouse; segregates materials by product type as required.

+ Loads outbound bulk hazardous material form storage tanks to trucks or rail cars and LTL loads. Ensures chemicals are loaded into appropriate tanks with required labeling.

+ Inspects inbound and outbound bulk tankers and LTL freight to insure compliance of proper DOT testing and inspection requirements is met.

+ Fills containers by blending/mixing chemicals based on manufacturing work orders; ensures proper containers are used in accordance with all regulations. Repack product for stock/shipment.

+ Interacts and communicates with a variety of Company personnel; responds and work effectively with external customers, state/federal agency representatives and other individuals as necessary.

+ Handles hazardous and non-hazardous materials employing proper and safe work practices in accordance with established policies and standards.

+ Operates forklift, compressed air/mechanical blending units, hand tools and other equipment as required.

+ Maintains accuracy in weight and measurement of raw inventory and blending and mixing of products.

+ Participates in safety meetings and implementing new safety policies / practices

**What's Needed?**

+ Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

+ Ability to read, write and speak the English language.

+ Basic computer skill, word and excel.

+ Willingness to undergo the background checks required by CFATS Personnel Surety Program (PSP).

+ Ability to pass the PSP background checks.

+ Full-time position, Monday through Friday, shifts are planned for 8 hours but are determined by daily workload. Holiday and weekend work may be required.

The worksite is governed by the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS). Applicants will be required to undergo the background checks required by CFATS Personnel Surety Program (PSP).
