Kelly Services is seeking a Production Welder for a manufacturing company in Paris KentuckyContract to Hire position thru Kelly Services.Work Hours 5am-330pm- Monday Thru Thursday$19-$21 per hr. DOEJOB SUMMARY:Produces a variety of parts by operating machines including brake presses, punch presses, shears, saws, and welding equipment. Additionally, handles materials on the paint-line, loading and unloading parts as directed by the lead person or supervisor to comply with the production schedule.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Welds steel parts based on prints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions.
- Knowledgeable in MIG welding.
- Ability to read prints and work orders.
- Able to set jigs, read tape measures, and steel gauges.
- Perform minor maintenance on welding machines and guns.
- Produce quality welds for production runs at standard.
- Operate machinery such as abrasive saws, hand grinders, brake presses, shears, punch presses, MIG welders, and other small hand tools.
- Maintain production standards.
- Perform repetitive operations on welding equipment and act as a material handler on the paint line.
- Maintain product quality standards.
- Accurately report production.
- Drive forklift.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Manual dexterity in both hands.
- Capable of bending and lifting 40-60 pounds.
- Visual capability to read prints, work orders, production schedules, tape measures, and gauges.
- Verbal communication skills.
- Able to drive a forklift.
- Lung capacity suitable for wearing a respirator for extended periods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wear required safety equipment.
- Always work safely.
- Follow all safety rules and company procedures.
- Maintain standard appearance in the work area.
- Report any issues to management (e.g., machine malfunctions, unavailability of raw materials, defective steel, inability to meet production requirements, personnel problems, etc.).
