WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE The Production Worker will be responsible for packaging and stocking boxes onto a pallet while maintaining a clean work area. The ideal candidate will be positive, willing to work hard and react quickly under pressure. • Packaging and stocking salad boxes onto a pallet in an organized manner • Perform quality checks on product to ensure proper and accurate labeling • Replace the rejection bin as necessary • Maintain the work area clean and free of debris to ensure a safe working environment • Responsible for maintaining open communication with coworkers to inform them of any unusual or potentially dangerous findings within or around the department • Assist in other areas of the facility as business needs require • Responsible for assisting the equipment operators as needs arise • Perform other duties as assigned WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School/GED or one to two years' experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to work as a team and follow instructions
- Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform the job
- Participate in company orientation and training
- Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times, weekends and required overtime when needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working on a production line in a food/beverage company
- 1 year of experience in a production environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Environmental exposure to wet and humid conditions
- Material exposure- moving mechanical parts
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
- Must be able to lift/push-pull/carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Exposure to extreme cold temperatures (34 degrees or below)
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
- 3rd shift (10:00PM-6:30AM) when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory.
