Job DescriptionThis position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way, supporting the mission of the Church.Individuals who qualify and accept and accept a position as an industrial sewing machine operator will work within a team performing stand up sewing to produce temple garments and temple clothing for members of the Church throughout the world. The nature of this work is physical demanding and fast-paced. This position contributes to the mission of the Church supporting members as they make and keep Temple covenants.You will work in a wholesome environment with other temple worthy coworkers. You will participate in team prayers and plant devotionals.You will receive a $1000 onboarding reward in 3 different increments. $250 for the day you start, $250 is you stay 4 months, and an additional $500 as you stay a year. This is not available to rehires. Shift Details:- Compensation: Swing Shift $18.75+$1.00 Shift differential- Monday-Thursday - 2:30PM-11:45PM; Fri-12:00PM-PM-5:00PM (40 hours per week)ResponsibilitiesAssemble materials into a finished garment product following established sewing processes.Conversational English is Required!Qualifications100% of the incumbents time is spent meeting the following:
- Quality requirements
- Production requirements
- Maintain Church and Beehive Clothing employment standards
- Operate and maintain industrial grade sewing machines
Applicants must successfully pass:
- Simple & Complex Dexterity Test
- Industrial Sewing Machine Threading
- Sewing Test (fabric handling and following instructions)
- Interviews
- Assessments
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and move throughout the shift
- Communicate in English effectively with a team
- Perform fast, repetitive movements for a minimum of 8 hours per day
- Periodically bend, twist, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
- Work overtime, if needed, based on production needs
