As a Coat Booth Operator, you are responsible for powder coating a variety of sized pipe and a variety of tasks involved in the production of L.B. Foster products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain powder coating lines. Exemplary leader on all safe work practices and procedures. Utilize 5S standards to maintain a clean and safe work area. Carryout verbal and written instructions from Foreman. Complete jobs in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipment. Willingness to assist in the development and training of other team members. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists. Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions. Perform regular pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified. Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. All other duties as assigned. Education/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in electrostatic coating or powder coating
- At least 3 years of experience in a production environment
- Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
- Average proficiency in mathematics
- Ability to prioritize and use time efficiently
- Ability to focus on problem solving and teamwork
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
