Providence Staffing's client is seeking a Production Worker for their manufacturing plant in Sylacauga, AL. This position will be responsible for efficiently and safely transporting materials to appropriate racks and Line Operators in an accurate and timely manner. This is a 12 hour shift.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
• Responsible for learning company work instructions and procedures involving packing/shipping operations, health/safety, and C-TPAT.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment (5S Duties).
• Participates in quality improvement efforts.
• Assists on kitting line as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to walk, bend, and climb stairs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must wear appropriate safety equipment.

Work Environment:

A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures can be hot or cold, and the noise level can be moderate to high.

Compensation:

The compensation for this position is $15.00 per hour. This is a term-to-perm position.
