Production WorkerDanville, VA ( want you on our team!12 hours shifts days 7am-7pm (may work over) nights 7pm-3am (may work over)Overtime is MandatoryOnly work 7 days in a 14-day rotationEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Remove air from bags and sealMake sure bags are sealed completely and placed in correct binCheck for proper identification on sealed bagsPrint product name on chemical setup sheet at the start of each production runAssist lead operator as needed during setup of each production runCheck the first bag of every bin and document the weightCorrect problems on the line caused by chemical over/under weighmentsNotify lead operator or supervisor when errors on production line happen repeatedlyCorrect problems caused by chemical over/under weight's/calibrate scalesNeeds to be aware of the lines needs so it does not run out of materialCommunicates with lead operator as to what he/she needs to keep line runningMake sure materials are put on line in the right place for each hopper/feederKeeps hoppers filled and helps empty them on changeoversPerform a physical set up check using recipe sheet used by the line leaderKeep feeders/product properly tagged at all timesReport to lead operator any nonconforming material or excessive wasteWork any line/area as assigned by supervisorMakes sure work area stays cleanUnderstands, promotes, and utilizes risk opportunity management theories/processes relevant to their position.Our Benefits Include:Health InsuranceDental Insurance401(K)Company paid Short-term and Long-term DisabilityCompany paid Life Insurance9 Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramImmediate PTO AccrualPersonal DaysOptional Paid Shower Time at the End of Each ShiftThis job describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
