GAL Manufacturing is looking to fill the position of Production Worker (Forklift), who under the direction of the Traffic Manager will primarily be responsible perform in a fast-paced manufacturing plant, have outstanding communication, and strong work ethic. Must operate equipment to meet facility goals for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork. Responsibilities: - Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials within the warehouse - Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other equipment - Safely stack and organize products in designated areas - Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment - Assist with inventory management and cycle counting - Follow all safety protocols and guidelines Experience: - Minimum of 3 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting - Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, etc. - Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures - Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes - Ability to perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance Skills: - Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines - Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team Benefits of Working With Us - Salary for New York Based Applicants: $16.00 - $22.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation). - Weekly Pay - This is an Hourly position with overtime available- After 90 days, this position will be eligible for benefits through the IBEW, Local 3 Union - Paid time off is granted as per union contract - Commuter Benefit - ...and more!
