Job Description Find your purpose as the Professional Billing Education & Quality Assurance Assistant at CentraCare. As the PB Education & Quality Assurance Assistant you'd be responsible for the education and quality review of all employees assigned by the Patient Financial Services Leader. Functions as a resource in the area of new hire and continuing education as well as quality control. Responsible for integrating system practice management and other available system technologies into the billing process consistent with corporate and compliance guidelines. Schedule:
- Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay is $18.68 per hour; exact pay is determined by years of related experience.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years working claim follow-up and denials within hospital billing, and/or critical access/rural health billing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare billing and third-party payer requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and customer relations principles.
- Experience with the use of Microsoft Office applications and related healthcare systems and software.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner with a high level of details and accuracy.
Core Functions:
- Perform duties accurately and efficiently to maintain organizational standards and goals.
- Provides outlined training to new hires and effectively communicates weekly status updates and reporting to their leader.
- Trends team and individual quality issues and provides continuing education through individual or classroom style training.
- Attends team huddles and informational meetings that impact education of staff, and policy changes that may affect staff quality of work.
- Completes timely and accurate quality audits of assigned staff.
- Provides metric reporting to Patient Financial Service leaders weekly/monthly regarding teams and individuals for, quality of work, productivity, and educational updates, as necessary.
- Available for on-site education as needed.
- Resource for department Seniors and/or Supervisors for training needs.
- Reviews system upgrades and provides necessary training to department staff.
- Understands and utilizes relevant technology.
- Understands and utilizes the capabilities of the computer programs and makes recommendations regarding system operations for improvements.
- Ensures goals, objectives and standards established in conjunction with Leadership are attained.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations and the organization's policies/procedures regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Attends all relevant seminars and education programs that deal with revenue cycle changes and updated guidelines.
- Successfully complete assigned education within allotted time frame.
- Provides cross coverage and backup duties for co-workers.
- Accountable and responsible for engaging in committees as assigned.
