ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities This is a unique opportunity for a PE to play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of engineers while influencing critical projects. In this position, you will:
- Mentor and guide a talented team of Engineers in Training (EITs), sharing your expertise to help them achieve their PE licenses and develop their professional skills.
- Take on a strategic role in project engineering and management, expanding beyond CAD modeling to impact project planning, execution, and innovation.
- Collaborate with the team to design and model water and wastewater infrastructure using SolidWorks, providing insights that go beyond just the technical drawings.
- Act as a thought leader within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high standards in project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, driving the quality of our engineering work to the highest levels.
- Engage with project managers, field crews, and other stakeholders to bring projects to life with innovative solutions.

QualificationsRequired Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and a strong background in CAD modeling.
- Proven skills in mentorship, guidance, and team development.
- Strong competency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- A strategic thinker with a passion for nurturing the next generation of engineering talent.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a professional engineering environment, focusing on water and wastewater projects.
- Familiarity with cloud point data and 3D scanning technologies.
- Strong understanding of Water & Wastewater Treatment Systems.
- Experience in project management or a role that involved leading technical initiatives
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit as required for project needs.
- Must be able to lift and move items relevant to job responsibilities.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions on occasion.
- Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week when project demands require it.
