Job Title: Professional Land Surveyor Department: Survey Location - Remote/In-Office Policy: This role requires the individual to work 95% of the time in the field and 5% in the office. Job Description: As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will work alongside entry-level and experienced survey professionals, as well as other relevant support staff, to provide survey-related services for client projects. Your role will ensure that the technical aspects of projects are executed in line with the company's quality expectations and standards, ultimately delivering an exceptional client experience. In this position, you will be responsible for leading projects, ensuring proper practices and techniques are followed, and providing direction, review, and support to the survey group. You will plan, organize, and manage project elements, as well as manage multiple clients simultaneously. Additionally, you will provide oral and written communication to project teams, clients, and the public. Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, assign, and monitor the work of field survey crews. Manage multiple project teams in the field. Ensure compliance with the company's safety standards. Utilize effective written and oral communication skills. Survey to determine precise locations, measurements, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining, or other surveying-related purposes. Conduct construction staking, planning, reports, maps, plats, deeds, local geography, physical evidence, legal descriptions, and research. Ensure accuracy of documents and deliverables completed by the team. Instruct, train, and mentor crew members. Confer with project team members and clients to lead, prepare, and participate in project proposals and interviews. Effectively manage and deliver projects on-time and on-budget. Required Experience/Skills: Associate's or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or equivalent survey field experience. Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification. Valid driver's license and ability to operate motorized vehicles. Ability to walk on uneven terrain up to ten miles per day. Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds. Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Nice-to-Haves: Personal interest in the infrastructure industry or surveying subject matter. Experience with specific surveying software or tools. Education: Associate's or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or equivalent survey field experience. Pay & Benefits Summary Pay is between $110k-$120k based on experience.
