Job Description

General Functions

Assists in coordinated efforts to ensure quality assurance standards are met and thoroughly researched. The position is responsible for professional work requiring technical knowledge and communications skills. Work involves performing professional countywide special event and special project coordination

Exercises independent judgment and assures the quality of the services provided. Work is performed under supervision of assigned supervisor and is evaluated for maintaining quality standards across the programs and projects with respect to the established goals.

Representative Duties/Assignments

* Assures the quality of services provided by the assigned program through observation of performance, evaluation of data, monitoring of records, inspection of facilities and equipment and evaluation of employee performance.

* Monitors service areas, performance and maintenance standards, within the division to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.

* Oversees local policy and verification procedures in coordination with Orange County Policies and standards.

* Collects and analyzes needs, assessment data points, surveys and research to ensure efficiency of operations and effectiveness of programs

* Assures that appropriate staff training and development activities are provided for employees of the assigned program.

* Assures compliance of the program with federal, state, county, division, contract and/or accreditation standards.

* Maintenance of records kept by the program's employees to ensure that all contractual and legal requirements for record keeping are met and that professional standards are maintained in the quality of records.

* Coordinates services with the managers of other programs of the division.

* Prepares and submits reports as required by contractual obligations and for general administrative purposes.

* Documents and tracks donations, gifts, budgeted expenses, attendance and other related items. May solicit or pick-up donations.

* Collaborates with internal departments and outside agencies.

* Coordinates holiday activities and other community events year-round.

* Participates in community outreach events.

* Conducts public relations activities for the youth services programs.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Health, Human, Social or Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration or other closely related. Experience in the development and administration of special events and promotional programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License and may be required to provide own vehicle for job related duties.

Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in word processing, preferably Microsoft Word, Excel, and email computer applications.

Pay Grade: 418 - From $21.42 to $32.13
