- Greet students and guests to departments.
- Assist students, department staff and with questions and other needs, by directing them to the appropriate parties or answering their questions.
- Creates, records and reviews personnel requests for department prior to approval
- Process accounting paperwork for department budgets and funding accounts
- Provides academic support to include registering students, updating class schedules
- Researches and complies reports as needed or requested
- Assist with department events, including reserving rooms, event announcements, invitations, RSVP correspondence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Experience processing personnel paperwork
- Experience managing budgets and reconciling financial information.
- Proficient with Microsoft specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualification
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others but also able to work independently.
- Exercise excellent judgment under pressure.
- Prior NIU experience.
