Job DescriptionFlorida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Professor, History to join our team of exceptional faculty. As an FSW faculty member, you can directly impact the college mission to inspire our students to 'Dedicate to Graduate'. This position will be based out of the Hendry/Glades Curtis Center in LaBelle. This is a quickly growing center with more than 15 faculty members who serve more than 700 students at our three locations. In addition to teaching at the center in LaBelle, the faculty member may be asked to teach courses at our off-site locations in Clewiston and Moore Haven.The School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences supports all degree and certificate programs of study offered at Florida SouthWestern State College. Through a broad curriculum, the SoAHSS provides high-quality teaching and learning experiences that are accessible and affordable, and prepares students to achieve the majority of their general education competencies. Within a culturally and artistically rich academic environment, our students develop the abilities to communicate effectively, think critically, use technology, and apply scientific principles and methods. Our core course offerings promote awareness and understanding of the complexities of the human condition while nurturing the ability of our students to explore history, society, and culture from multiple vantage points.   • Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught
  • Experience teaching dual enrollment courses
  • A willingness to travel to off-site locations in Clewiston and Moore Haven

Salary Range: $51,976.01 - $61,643.90 (for two terms): the maximum salary is based on a doctorate education level and 10 years of verifiable full-time teaching experience.
