Who We Are Looking For: Are you the Program Administrator we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with people in the community! STRIVE Boston program is a workforce readiness program that provides a skills training and job placement program that focuses on workplace readiness, occupational skills, attitudinal training, job placement and job retention. Our mission is to help chronically unemployed men and women realize their potential to find and keep jobs that promise sustainable livelihoods and personal growth. We envision a world where everyone has the opportunity to achieve economic self-sufficiency, dignity, and a promising future. Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours a week JRI Provides The Training So That:
  • YOU will provide primary administrative support to the Administrative Team, program staff & STRIVE Boston initiatives. Mail handling, faxes and telephone calls, tracking food and gift cards, transportation vouchers, etc..
  • YOU will be responsible for data entry and manage database systems for services provided at the program.
  • YOU will oversee maintenance of office equipment and supplies; order as needed.
  • YOU will prepare and maintain accounts payable records, including filing and tracking invoices.
  • YOU will be able to utilize and perform electronic data entry in medical records software.
  • YOU will resolve administrative problems and inquiries.
  • YOU will prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
  • YOU will schedule travel arrangements for STRIVE staff for annual gatherings.
  • YOU will provide program participants with support surrounding resources, guidance with navigating applying for state benefits, provide intake documents and ensure applications are completed.
  • YOU will document up to date relevant client information and outcomes in the Apricot database system.
  • YOU will monitor participants during the follow up period to track the outcomes of services provided.

Requirements:
  • Applicant should be detail oriented and have exceptional organizational and communication, and relational skills.
  • Candidates with experience in health or human services are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Candidates must have the ability to use independent judgment and discretion and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Haitian Creole or Spanish) are preferred.
  • Applicant must have an active driver's license and ability to be at work on time with some potential travel to corporate sites on an annual or quarterly basis required.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
