Job Description:

As a Program Aide, you will support the administration of Girl Vow's programs. You will be responsible for assisting with outreach efforts, group facilitation, and various administrative and support service tasks.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with girls and gender expansive youth with the ability to build relationships and trust with participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Outreach:

  • Communicate and promote Girl Vow's mission to support girls and women.
  • Assist in implementing outreach strategies.
  • Serve as a representative of the organization at community events.
  • Assist in maintaining organizational databases and help develop and distribute materials, including newsletters, advertisements, and social media content.

Group Facilitation:

  • Support the facilitation of discussions.
  • Assist with participant surveys.

Support Advocacy and Administrative Tasks:

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and staff training sessions.
  • Support advocacy campaigns and local advocacy opportunities.
  • Support staff in assisting in the planning and overseeing significant events
  • Acting as a liaison between different departments
  • Relaying internal emails to staff
  • Reserving equipment and conference rooms for presentations and in-office meetings
  • Attending staff meetings and taking minutes
  • Responding to emails and answering calls
  • Maintaining office calendars and sending out reminders of impending appointments
  • Typing letters and reports as may be required from time to time
  • Compiling and sending bulk mailings
  • Proofreading and making copies of documents
  • Managing online resources

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in social services, psychology, or related field is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and the ability to relate to justice-involved individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Docs
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
