Duties Description Daily cashier area management including prioritizing and delegating, as needed, incoming mail, phone and departmental deposits.Analyze students' accounts, transactions, verify data integrity and assist with all aspects of account maintenance & customer service. This includes but is not limited to utilizing Banner, OnBase, Argos, etc.Provide leadership for employees involved in cashiering functions and supervise Office Assistant 2 position. Assist professional staff, such as but not limited to assist with scholarship processing, assist director with several assigned web tasks, work with Director and University Accountant on tracking and proper account records for exchange students. Calculate & apply Student Service Fee calculations and OAP Tuition transfer entries based on collaboration with Int'l Ed office, Student Affairs and the University Accountant.Update TouchNet payment plan setup, set up and assess RA food and dorm waivers and receipt, monitor and refund admission and housing deposits. Administer graduate assistantships, cross registration, UUP and employee waivers, CSEA waivers, graduate EOP waivers, and critic teacher waivers. Reconcile international health insurance.Process billing adjustments for non-degree students.Process accounting write offs.Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive (NY HELPS):Three years of experience performing clerical, keyboarding, or paraprofessional work in an office environment.ORAppointments and promotions in the New York State Civil Service are made according to principles of merit and fitness as mandated by the New York State Constitution. Candidates can compete for competitive class, Civil Service positions by participating in competitive civil service examinations that assess candidates' knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for performing the job. To be eligible to apply for this current position, you must have previously taken the Civil Service examination for the Program Aide title, and have been canvassed for this position. Applicants not canvassed must be eligible for appointment via transfer from a current Civil Service appointment. Proof of qualification rests with the applicant.The NYS Civil Service Eligible's list will be canvassed as well as the NYS Civil Service Preferred & Transfer List.
