Job Description and Duties
This is statewide recruitment. Reporting location will be the closest OEIS office to the selected candidate's residence.

Under the general direction of the Program Manager of the Compliance Assurance Division, the Program and Project Supervisor of the Inspections and Investigations Branch is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring the work of a team performing engineering and analytical tasks focused on inspection and investigation of utility assets to ensure: 1) utility compliance with Wildfire Mitigation Plans, 2) utility adherence to wildfire safety best practices, and 3) Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety compliance with statutory requirements. The Program and Project Supervisor will supervise and direct staff, which includes organizing all activities, supervising work, making assignments, controlling quality, and adhering to state funding and budgeting processes to ensure fiscally aligned, timely scheduled, and successfully completed work of the Branch.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
Travel is required. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
This position is remote-centered and is eligible for telework up to 5 days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. A teleworker is considered remote-centered if they work fifty percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. Effective March 3, 2025 this position will transition to a hybrid workplace requiring a minimum of two days in-office presence per week.

Working Conditions
* Energy Safety utilizes a hybrid remote/in-person approach, enabling staff to telework when approved by management.

* Alternate reporting location of San Francisco or Los Angeles office is available upon request.
* Incumbent will use shared workspaces (hoteling stations) when working in the office.
* Incumbent may be required to travel, including overnight stays.
* Incumbent may be required to work unusual hours including nights and weekends.
* Incumbent must maintain consistent and acceptable attendance.
* Incumbent must possess a valid California Class C driver's license.
* Incumbent must dress appropriately for a business/government environment.
