Title: Program Assistant for Academic Excellence

Position Type: Staff Full-Time

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Provost for Academic Excellence and Integrity, this program assistant provides supplementary or primary administrative support to various scholarship and cohort-based academic programs such as the Fellows Program. Core duties will involve communicating and working with program directors, Admissions, and primary program assistants to support various program logistics. This includes scheduling meetings, organizing reimbursements and electronic files, supporting travel logistics, maintaining budget and participation records, and organizing program events. Additional duties may include supporting Scholars Programs as well as the Office of Provost's work related to Artificial Intelligence and/or Academic Excellence such as Honor Societies.

Cohort-based academic programs including the Honors Program, the Elon College Fellows Program, the Nursing Fellows Program, the Business Fellows Program, the Communications Fellows Program, the Engineering Fellows Program, the Leadership Fellows Program, and the Teaching Fellows Program.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years of relevant work experience and/or training or some college plus 5+ years of relevant work experience and/or training.

Preferred Education and Experience

Outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, written, and oral), ability to effectively multi-task, high attention to detail, skill in working with other program assistants and faculty directors. Proficient with learning and implementing new technologies. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience working in daily operations across various undergraduate-facing programs is preferred.

Job Duties

* Supporting the Assistant Provost and program directors with administrative duties and special program events such as travel.

* Providing assistance to primary program assistants of the cohort programs as needed, particularly on common tasks across programs.

* Organizing and maintaining files, data, and budget records.

* Scheduling appointments, meetings, programs, and travel.

* Assisting with special events such as Scholarship Weekends.

* Supporting the Office of the Provost with operations of programs that support scholarship and cohort-based academic programs.

* Additional duties may include supporting Scholars Programs as well as the Office of Provost's work related to Artificial Intelligence and/or Academic Excellence such as Honor Societies.
