VOICES Boston is seeking a part-time Program Assistant to support multiple ensembles and programs serving students ages 5-14. Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Assistant will provide support during student rehearsals and act as a resource for the Program Director, Artistic Director, Associate Conductor, and parents. Responsibilities: Supervising children during rehearsals and maintaining a safe, respectful, and affirming environment Communicating with parents during student pick-up and drop-off Assisting conductors with rehearsal space set-up and clean-up, including moving equipment (speakers, chairs, piano) Responding to the needs of students during rehearsal and assisting with drop-off and pick-up Assisting with administrative tasks including printing rehearsal materials, creating marketing designs, distributing publicity materials, creating season calendars/schedules, and compiling concert guides Supporting VOICES concerts and events, including sourcing raffle items and program advertisements, and recruiting chaperones Working with VOICES social media calendar to keep accounts active and up to date Other administrative tasks as needed Qualifications: A passion for working with children of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds Experience working with children in an educational environment An interest in music education and/or arts administration preferred High degree of proficiency with Google Suite and a variety of social media platforms Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks Ability to communicate confidently in all settings - in writing, by phone, in person, and through video conference The Program Assistant will oversee VOICES Boston children at rehearsals. The specific times are listed below. Rehearsals occur at various locations throughout Brookline. Candidates must be available for all rehearsal times.
