One with the Prevention Program and one with the Community Service & Restitution program. These positions will operate in various environments to include: working in an office setting, partial telework, and working alongside youth in a school setting and in the community.Duties in Prevention Program include
- Assisting with the activities of the prevention programs.
- Providing the programs in high schools or community centers.
- Assisting in outreach and recruitment for the program through community networking.
- Addressing inquiries of the public regarding the operations and activities of programs and services available through the department.
- Assisting with the preparation and compilation of reports and related documents detailing department programs and activities and as mandated by Federal, State, and County guidelines.
Duties in the Community Service & Restitution Program include
- Supervision of at risk youth to include assisting participants to successfully complete their community service commitment either through direct supervision at community activities or remote service learning.
- The assistant will also monitor community service work sites, and assist with training at risk youth on basic job skills both at the work site and throughout the community.
- Assist in the development of new and/or potential community service opportunities for youth.
- Participate in chart documentation as related to the program activities.
- Address inquiries of the public regarding the operations and activities of programs and services available through the department.
- Assist with the preparation and compilation of reports and related documents detailing department programs and activities and as mandated by Federal, State, County, and JCPC guidelines.
