Job OverviewThis position supports the activities of School Social Workers. The employee assists with planning and coordinating meetings and events; maintains the databases for Student Support Services helps compile and edit reports, and correspondence; and coordinates o?ce activity. The employee completes assignments independently and uses his/her own initiative to devise solutions and improvements to the databases, spreadsheets, publications, and forms.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed. - Provides administrative and clerical support to the Supervisor of Student Support Services to support School Social Workers and all related programs and initiatives.
- Supports the PEER program which includes maintaining all databases and required reporting.
- Creates, updates, and maintains all lists, division policies, procedures, and resources located in the document libraries for School Social Workers.
- Updates and maintains the intranet and internet sites for Student Support Services.
- Tracks, updates, and maintains data for Student Support Services in student information systems as well as other database systems.
- Compiles necessary program data to create the needed statistics for the VDOE Annual State Report.
- Submits purchase orders at the request of the Supervisor of Student Support Services
- Designs and creates surveys and evaluations to collect data for Individual and Group Support, PEER program, and other surveys as requested by Supervisor of Student Support Services.
- Works with Supervisor and Coordinator to initiate, coordinate, and facilitate events (e.g. trainings, Mental Health Awareness Conference, team building exercises, etc.) for sta?, parents, and students.
- Produces ?yers and brochures for Student Support.
QualificationsBelow are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.Education Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred Experience
- Specialized training in using databases, spreadsheets, student information, publishing and word processing software
- Experience in producing accurate reports and publication using data from numerous sources
