SUNY Ulster Program Coordinator- Business and Economic Development Full-time, 12 months per year Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Priority Screening: October 9, 2024 at 4PM EST Position Summary: SUNY Ulster County Community College, a two-year branch of the State University of New York located ninety miles north of New York City in the Catskill Mountains, is currently accepting applications for a Program Coordinator for Business and Economic Development. The Program Coordinator, Economic Development is a visionary education leader that works with students, faculty and employers and is responsible for cultivating relationships with new and existing employers from various industry sectors to identify and coordinate professional training and business development. The Program Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean for Workforce Development. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee SUNY Workforce Grant application, implementation and reporting.
  • Develop and implement contract training programs and plans for local business and industry.
  • Coordinate all aspects of corporate training including outreach, marketing, initial engagement, planning, program administration and assessment
  • Coordinate with CE Program Coordinators and SUNY Ulster faculty on initiatives that cross program areas
  • Serve as a liaison to local businesses, economic development and workforce agencies.
  • Maintain records and provide regular reports in accordance with department policy and procedure
  • Identifying and applying for grants which advance the economic mobility of business and individuals in Ulster County
  • Other duties as requested by the Assistant Dean for Workforce
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree. Must have knowledge of college processes.
And
  • Commitment to community college goals and objectives of providing quality programs and services for culturally, socio-economically, ethnically, and academically diverse students and students with disabilities; personal qualities to work effectively and with sensitivity in a multicultural environment; awareness of and commitment to the needs of non-traditional and/or re-entry students with diverse abilities and interests.

  • Project Management experience; MBA
Salary: $52,000 annually. Full Time; 12 months per year; 35 hours per week. Evening hours required. All positions are contingent upon adequate funding.
