IIE administers the Gilman Program on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). The Gilman Program aims to support underrepresented students in their educational pursuits abroad by offering scholarships to talented undergraduates with significant financial need, enabling them to study or intern internationally. Gilman Scholars represent all fifty states and embody the diverse tapestry of the United States. These scholars act as citizen ambassadors while abroad and return to the U.S. equipped to effect positive change within their communities and industries. Furthermore, Gilman Alumni benefit from lifelong access to career advancement opportunities and networking initiatives.The Program Coordinator, Campus Liaison works as a part of a dedicated team to promote study abroad and the Gilman International Scholarship Program. The Program Coordinator provides administrative, logistical, and operational support for the Gilman Program, serving as the primary point of contact with Gilman campus advisors and developing and monitoring communications to this large audience. The Program Coordinator specifically supports the application, screening, and selection stages of the Gilman Program.Essential Functions:
Serves as main point of contact for Gilman campus advisors; responds to general phone and e-mail inquiries about the application and/or selection process; escalates non-standard issues as needed. Supports creating and disseminating communications regarding the application, including newsletters, videos, and other mass communications. Provides logistical and administrative support to the team regarding application testing, selection panels, payments, and resource materials; manages information in support of Gilman and services provided. Reviews and processes applications for technical completeness, eligibility and accuracy; follows up with applicants as needed to complete materials. Updates and retrieves data in IIE and Gilman systems; ensures the accuracy of the data; creates graphic representations of the data.Job RequirementsEducation and Work Experience:Requires an associate's degree and at least two (2) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good organization skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Good written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate knowledge of working with Microsoft Office Suites.Salary and Benefits:Salary Range: $48,952 - $60,093.
