Requirements Program Coordinator for the Center for Research and Fellowships Job Overview The Program Coordinator at the Center for Research and Fellowships (CRF) at Georgetown University serves as the frontline advisor for the CRF's core programs, as directed by CRF director and deputy director. This role is primarily responsible for responding to general inquiries from students and staff about research participation and general interest inquires from students seeking more information about fellowships managed by the CRF. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for administrative tasks associated with program management. Finally, the Program Coordinator serves as the outward-facing representative of the office, overseeing the CRF's representation at student-facing events and oversees the Center's monthly newsletter and listserv communications. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing timely, informative, and accurate responses to general inquires
  • Provide administrative support to the Director and team, as assigned
  • Oversee outreach and CRF representation at student-facing events (e.g. Welcome Week, GAAP Weekend, etc.), including listserv management and newsletter distribution
Work Interactions The Program Coordinator reports to the Director of the Center for Research and Fellowships. The incumbent indirectly supervises the CRF's student workers and one graduate student assistant. Outside of the Center, the Program Coordinator interacts with many Georgetown University stakeholders: from students to faculty, with whom we work closely with on managing selection committees, to senior-level administrators, department heads, academic deans, and directors of undergraduate studies across the University. Requirements and Qualifications A Bachelor's degree is required. Two years' experience in higher education administration, student advising, or teaching experience is highly desirable. Previous experience and/or a working knowledge of Georgetown University is especially welcomed. Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days work from home.)
