C&G projects advance equal access to rights and justice, expand inclusive avenues for civic participation, and promote accountable governance. The Program Coordinator will contribute to critical program administration functions including writing and editing reports, assisting with compliance and financial management tasks, and supporting subgrant and contract development and monitoring.We are doers.   • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with project partners, consultants, and/or beneficiaries is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of US Government requirements for grant-funded programs is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing and/or delivering trainings is preferred.
  • Experience working on or interest in civil society, gender equality and social inclusion, human rights, advocacy, or other civic engagement topics.
  • Experience handling personal identifying information.
  • Knowledge of and experience with monitoring and evaluation and data collection preferred.
  • Study, work, or living experience abroad, preferably in the Middle East, East Asia or Near East.
  • Work experience may include internships or part-time job or combination of both. Skills may vary based on program, project, or practice needs.
  • Proficiency in Dari, Persian (Farsi), or Tajik required. Speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in English required.
  • Proven administrative and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Clear, succinct, and compelling communication skills, including exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with the consistent ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communications skills.
  • You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Your Daily Tasks
  • Assisting staff with all aspects of subgrant and contractual management, including reviewing grantee due diligence and risk assessment, drafting subawards and monitoring plans, internal review process, tracking and overall monitoring of subgrant activities and progress made towards project objectives.
  • With guidance, monitoring programmatic and financial progress of subawardees, and ensuring compliance with donor and IREX requirements.
  • Assisting the management of a subset of subgrantees including review of subgrantee budgets, deliverables, narrative reports, and M&E plans.
  • With guidance, managing consultant agreements, logistics, and payments.
  • Supporting program M&E, including data collection and reporting.
  • Supporting travel, event, and meeting logistics, as needed.
  • Creating and/or managing project files and storage within internal file-sharing system (i.e., SharePoint).
  • Compiling and tracking a wide range of participant information and program data, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicating directly with subgrantees, consultants, vendors, and local partners.
  • Serving as the point of contact for a subset of subgrants for assigned programs, including maintaining effective relationships with subgrantees, answering subgrantee questions and requests, and scheduling meetings with subgrantees.
  • Contributing to writing external and internal quarterly and final reports for assigned programs.
  • Preparing program presentation materials to present to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Contributing to new business development efforts including supporting the development of proposal attachments such as risk and mitigation plans, proposed timelines, budget narratives, and monitoring and evaluation plans.
  • Supporting senior staff and development officers in researching and developing proposals and other tasks as deemed necessary for new business development.
  • Processing consultant, contractor, and/or subgrantee financial reports and payment requests, in accordance with IREX procedures.
  • Assisting in ensuring all fiscal management and performance activities comply with IREX and funder policies and regulations, such as reviewing financial reports.
  • Drafting subaward and contract approvals, SAFs, consulting agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Collaborating with team members to accomplish relevant tasks.
  • Supporting staff recruitment, through tasks such as panel interviews, as assigned.
  • Attending relevant staff trainings and workshops to learn more about IREX and USG policies and procedures.
  • Other support duties as needed.
