Program Coordinator - Community Wellness Requisition ID 2024-52618 Category Administrative/Clerical Overview The Health Education Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating community education activities related to health & wellness of youth in collaboration with clinical, research, administrative and community partners. The coordinator assumes responsibility for education delivery, project and program development, and provides essential administrative support for designated education initiatives. Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, may be necessary to accommodate program requirements. Responsibilities * Collaborates with community members, parents, and students in the co-development of programs and activities that incorporate health education. * Works closely with a team of health educators to coordinate the initial and ongoing development of health education programs -needs assessment, and oversight of deficiencies/concerns. Recommends new programs based on current program evaluation and needs assessment. * Delivers evidence-based and evidence-informed curricula to youth primarily in the school environment. * Utilizes technology to enhance education- prepare presentations, age-appropriate activities, and other engagement. * Participates in the development of an annual plan for community education that is consistent with strategic priorities of school system. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Public Health, or related healthcare field, required. Master's Degree or equivalent experience, preferred. Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Experience: Teaching or instructional experience, required. Three -five years' experience in program planning or project management.
