BackgroundUnder the supervision of the Program Manager, Day Support Program, the Program Coordinator - Day Support oversees the daily flow of the LIFE Day Support Program which provides training, support, and supervision for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and implementing program activities, writing, and executing person-centered plans and other reports, communicating with support teams, supervising LIFE direct support staff, monitoring the integrity of program records, and ensuring services are provided in adherence with department policies and procedures. The person in this position provides coverage for direct support staff during absences, callouts, and periods of reduced staffing, and may be asked to cover for ECHO drivers as needed.The mission of ECHO is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their optimal level of personal, social, and economic success. Our services empower individuals to be active members of the community.Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsEmbrace and support ECHO's core values: Enthusiasm, Trust, Integrity, Compassion, Respect, Innovation, and Courage.Supervises Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the Day Support ProgramIncludes but not limited to scheduling, performance monitoring and evaluation, leave approval, disciplinary action, record monitoring, training, recognition, and hiring/firing.Ensures appropriate participant/staff ratio.Provides daily support and coverage as needed for DSPs, covering all DSP duties for absent staff or callouts.Record integrity and monitoringReviews and approves daily notes to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.Reviews and/or enters participant time in Vertex, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for billing purposes.Ensures WAMS is updated (service authorizations, ISPs) and follows up on issues.Ensures documentation and records for individuals receiving services meet standards for Medicaid, DBHDS Licensure, CARF, and all other entities providing oversight to ECHO services.Participates in the Individual Service Planning process.Maintains positive relationships and attends meetings with participants, families, other agencies, and case managers and provides input related to services.Writes professional, comprehensive plans and any related reports for assigned caseload.Ensures staff is trained and is implementing ISP outcomes and protocols.Maintains updated ISP-related and annual paperwork and protocols for participants on caseload and disseminates as appropriate.ProgrammingCreates activity calendars with monthly and weekly themes, schedules trainings and classes for participants, and develops plans for meeting the LIFE program mission.Monitors participant attendance to ensure 90% threshold is met.Collaborates with DSPs and Program Manager, Day Support Program to identify, recommend, and implement meaningful center- and community-based activities that incorporate program participant preferences and choices. Activities should encourage cultural diversity, maximize independence and potential, promote learning and growth, and enhance quality of life.Supports and works with other departments on planning and executing special events such as fundraisers, the annual picnic, and holiday party.Additional job-related duties as assigned, including but not limited to:Assists the QIPI Department with investigations of human rights complaints and ensures documentation is completed in a timely manner.Represents ECHO at planning/outreach meetings and events as required.Cross-trains in other programs to be able to provide coverage during times of reduced staffing.Provides crisis intervention as needed.Substitutes for ECHO drivers as needed.LeadershipWorks collaboratively and maintains positive, professional relationships with colleagues and participants.Is reliable and flexible. Sets the example for staff by following all agency policies and procedures.Sets clear, consistent expectations for program staff and participants.TrainingParticipates in in-service training to satisfy agency needs/requirements.Completes all assigned online training assignments within timeframe.Minimum Position RequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Services plus one year of experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities.In lieu of degree, a minimum of five years' experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities.Must demonstrate an understanding of clinical risk.Previous experience in a lead role or demonstrated potential to act in a lead capacity.Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with participants, staff, and other health care professionals.Familiarity with EHR systems.Company HighlightsAt ECHO, we offer our qualified employees a full comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
